Fix the remote so it doesn't shatter when dropped and also so it isn't so small that it gets lost. Also make the replacement cost reasonable, the only people buying replacement remotes are people who have broken their remotes already. So maybe don't try and make a large profit on the replacement remotes.

Jul 18, 2018 - Apple has updated both the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro 2018 with Touch Bar. Here's everything you need to know about the changes. It has no case). If it wasn't so small and easy to lose, I would give it 5 stars (It's not 3 stars because they brought the price down from $79.00 to $59.00, so I gave it 1 more star). The integration of a Siri mic is novel and fairly useful when I want to get to, or search for, content fast. The Siri Remote and AppleTV as a whole control my Samsung entertainment setup very well, with no issues at setup. However, that all falls apart at the physical design of the remote. How is it that Apple thought a glass surface was an appropriate material for a remote? It dropped less than 2ft and shattered on my tile floor.
Everything Breakable For Mac Free
I've had a couple of iPhones (different generations) fall farther and barely blemish the screen. Guess Apple thinks that, at $60, it's too expensive to use a stronger glass?
Everything Breakable For Macbook Pro
Or better yet, go back to the aluminum ONLY design but add the touchpad and mic. I would recommend serious thought and consideration to alternative AppleTV compatible universal remotes, or even using your SmartTV remote as some work with AppleTV. @Apple, you really need to reconsider the materials you use in heavy use items, form should never surpass function as it has with this product. Besides the whole “Which end i Like so many others who’ve taken the time to write their thoughts, I have to say I’m supremely disappointed with the Siri Remote. Besides the whole “Which end is up?” thing, besides the fragility of the thing (I’ve not had problems with that, but I don’t have kids, etc.), besides the “It’s black, the buttons don’t light up and it’s difficult to find in the dark” problem, the remote just plain fails at it’s most important job.being a remote. Pick it up, start your movie, put it down.
Pick up the remote and, unless you’re very cautious when doing so, guess what? You’ve accidentally started fast-forwarding or rewinding your video, or pulling up or down a menu, because your skin lightly brushed the touchpad. Ok, so, adjust the sensitivity of the pad, right? Set it to be the least sensitive to touch as possible and you’ve introduced an entirely new frustration, having to repeatedly and furiously swipe, click, poke, slam and curse until the remote decides to cooperate.by which time you’ve completely lost control and the device starts responding as though possessed. Random disconnections, unreliable responses (sometimes the thing won’t respond at all and then, suddenly, it executes all the operations at once), frustrating control over basic functions like fast-forward and rewind.Having to wake the remote up by clicking a button, and then having that action (that you didn’t want, but you had to press SOMETHING to wake it up) performed, which usually means backing out of an app. This is singularly the WORST user experience I’ve had with any Apple product, and frankly, any remote control, ever. I prefer using my Harmony universal remote to the Apple remote, even though it doesn’t offer as many functions, at least it actually works as a remote.
I’m shocked at how awful the Siri remote is. I’d rate it zero stars if that were an option! More (Read full review). Written by Kelben G from Milwaukie. Jan 12, 2019 2 of 2 people found this useful.
